SPEA joins forces with DHL GoGreen Plus

SPEA & DHL

More Sustainable Deliveries

SPEA, a leading provider of automatic test equipment for the electronics industry, today announced its participation in the DHL GoGreen Plus service, enabling SPEA to reduce the CO2e emissions associated with their air freight with the help of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Through this partnership, SPEA is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of its global deliveries.

Sustainability is a core value at SPEA, and we are constantly seeking ways to reduce our environmental footprint, conserve energy and protect our environment” said Marco Ramello, Logistics Manager at SPEA. “We are aware that we can only ship our parts by air to most of our customers. By joining the DHL GoGreen Plus service, we can offer a more sustainable shipping option without compromising on speed or reliability.”

The DHL GoGreen Plus service allows SPEA to reduce the carbon emissions generated by its shipments through using SAF mixed up with conventional aviation fuel. This fuel, made from alternative raw materials such as used cooking oil, waste and hydrogen, can provide a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of up to 80% over its life cycle compared to conventional fuel.

“We are delighted to welcome SPEA to the DHL GoGreen Plus service in our international network” said Martin Blok, Managing Director Sales & Marketing at DHL. “SPEA is a longstanding strategic customer for us. They are committed to working with us to make international express transportation more sustainable, aligned perfectly with our own goals. and we are proud to partner with them in reducing their environmental impact. Our investments in Sustainable Aviation Fuel enable our customers to make a significant impact on reducing the carbon emissions that occur in the value chain”.
